Self Control

So I was asked the question: Are there other ways to realize that we are spiritual beings, besides astral projecting? The answer is yes, there are several. However, they all have one thing in common, and this is something that you must want to do. It requires effort, and a willingness to learn and be open minded. You will succeed if you persevere.

The issue I am talking about is self control. For anyone that thinks they have enough self control, they are mistaken. Self control is an ever evolving ability humans have. No matter how much self control we have, we can always always improve on it, because to master it fully, would mean you are perfect. If there is a way to master it fully, then that is yet to be experienced in the current world. Self control comes in many forms, on the basic level, it is management of emotions. Often we let things overwhelm us, we get stressed out about things because we don’t use self control. Many people will go to the gym to relieve stress, and while they are there, they forget about their stress temporarily. The same goes on more drastic scales such as drinking, or doing drugs, they give people escapes from reality until it comes back and hits them like a tidal wave. These methods, are not examples of self control. Another example, is when people get angry easily, or get road rage, or are easily bad tempered. They lack the ability to keep their emotions in check, which means they lack self control. The same goes with addictions, they lack the self control to break the addiction. The same also goes with those that are very clingy when falling in love. Anyone who becomes overwhelmed by their emotions has very little self control. Sometimes it is almost impossible to have self control, when something really drastic such as losing a loved one occurs, however, recognition of it is essential.

Self control goes beyond just emotions. It also goes hand in hand with awareness. The first thing you must understand is that you are a spiritual being, piloting a physical body. This means, that your body is nothing but a vehicle that is at your command. The average person is not aware that they can control many aspects of their body that they normally don’t think about. For example, breathing. When you learn breathing techniques, you find that you are able to make your body breathe on its own, without being consciously aware of it. Its like putting a car on cruise control, you have the ability to breath consciously, or automatically. Every time you fall asleep, you breath automatically. Try doing it while you are awake! It’s possible. You can even turn your body off, so it is paralized, but your mind is fully functioning. This is why awarness goes hand in hand with self control.

To gain more self control, you need to learn how to sense your emotions and feelings as they arrive, without letting them overwhelm you. When you get angry, notice yourself getting angry, and learn to control it. When you get hungry, tired, sad, happy, excited, horny, and feeling of love, notice it. Try to enhance the feelings with your mind, and try to decrease them, be aware of them. Everytime you get goosebumps, or inspirational chills down your spine, butterflies in your tummy, nervous lump in your throat,or the feeling of an adrenaline rush, you are experiencing your chakras. Be aware of these feelings, and you will find they they all have a different central location of where they originate from. Then you will eventually be able to feel the energy flowing to and from them, throughout your body. Becoming in touch with your bodies feelings, is essential to understanding spirituality. And there is a major mainstream activity, that promotes exactly what I am talking about. Yoga. Yoga is everywhere, and yoga is the key to anything spiritual. There are many different types of yoga, many different areas to learn. The whole purpose of the stretching and pose excercises, is to be able to feel the energy moving through your body easier, to become more aware of it, and to gain self control. Once you have mastered this, meditation yoga and astral projection soon follow. I will be writing another blog post in the future, about different energies of the body, from sexual energy, to ojas( life force energy), and kundalini Yoga.

Someone messaged me saying they don’t believe in astral projection, well I have a question for you. How can you not believe in something that you can experience first hand?

Astral Projection

The one thing that goes hand in hand with meditation, is astral projection. First I must explain to you that every human being is composed of two parts. The physical body, and the astral body, or spirit. Most of us are only aware that we have a physical body, and just live our lives not knowing anything about our astral body. However, even though we are not aware of it, it does exist, and it becomes active everytime we fall asleep. It is what is responsible for our dreams or nightmares. Each time we are asleep, we are actually traveling outside of our bodies. But because we are not conscious of it, we only take in fragments, or portions of these experiences, which we often forget upon waking up. The parts that we do remember, are when we become conscious only briefly during our sleep. So they can be taken as negative or positive experiences. Most dreams occur in the REM phase of our sleep. REM stands for rapid eye movement. This is also the phase where if you are conscious, you astral project.

There is a state between astral projection, and dreaming. This is where you have the ability to control what happens in your dreams, you are self aware that you are dreaming, but you are not conscious in your physical body. This is called lucid dreaming, you can go places, and remember what happens. But because you are not conscious of your physical body, you won’t benefit from it as much as you could if you were really astral projecting.

For conscious astral projection, it is basically what you would call, conscious sleep. Your body is asleep, but you are still conscious. You get there through meditation. In this state, you cannot move your body. You are paralyzed. This is often frightening, but if you can learn to ignore it, you become conscious that you are infact, a spiritual being inside of a physical body. You have the ability to leave the physical body, and explore the astral plane. You can go anywhere, and do anything. You are not tied to space or time, you can travel to the past, travel to anywhere in the world, or travel to the future. As the past present and future are all simultaneously occuring at the same time. This is where you can find the akashic records, experience the divine, experience love and oneness with the universe, and bring healing energy into your body. It is the source of creativity and inspiration. Your physical body, is the tool to express this, and experience it. The astral plane, is what shapes our physical reality.

Because we have the ability to consciously be aware of astral projecting, this can be used as 100% proof that we are spiritual beings. However, to someone that hasn’t astral projected before, they will always argue this fact. It is not something that can be explained with words, it is something that must be experienced directly, on an individual basis. For that reason alone, there will always be beliefs and theories. You do not need faith, when you can have experience. But try telling that to someone full of religious dogma.

If you do wish to experience astral projection, you need not be afraid. It is perfectly safe, and healthy for you to do. You will always return to your physical body, because you are attached to it by some sort of cord, that is only severed upon death. You cannot cause death to your physical body by astral projecting. Why this cord exists, I do not know. But the spirit is bound to the physical body until you die. I will be doing more research on this cord, and write another post about it, and the subject of reincarnation and past lives.

There is an entire trancendental world out there for humans to explore and experience. It is massive with multiple levels of consciousness. The more research I do, the deeper it gets, but reading can only take me so far. Experiencing it is the one and only way to confirm the words I have read and written. It is the only way to understand the truth of life.
